Independent Robotics Qualifies for Canada’s Defence Drone Initiative Marketplace

We are proud to announce that Independent Robotics has qualified for Canada’s Defence Drone Initiative (DDI) Marketplace. Effective August 26, 2026, we are recognized as an authorized supplier under the DDI Marketplace Supply Arrangement, positioning our intelligent autonomy stack to directly support critical Canadian defence missions.

Led collaboratively by the Department of National Defence (DND) and the Defence Investment Agency (DIA), the DDI is a welcome step toward accelerating the development and acquisition of Canadian uncrewed and autonomous technologies for the Canadian Armed Forces and Canadian Coast Guard.

Independent Robotics is qualified under four capability streams:

• Uncrewed and Autonomous Systems (UxS) and Counter-UxS

• Communications and Data Systems

• Engineering and Integration Services

• Innovation and Experimentation

Through our unified IMPAC Mission Control autonomy software and AI-driven Insight Engine, we empower human operators with real-time situational awareness and rapid decision-making across high-stakes environments. With this DDI qualification, we look forward to collaborating closely with our defence partners, contributing trusted technologies and expertise to strengthen Canadian defence capabilities.
